Hola!

Welcome to the blog for my Spain summer! My goal is not to be a comedian and write the wittiest posts or a journalist and report on events, but I am hoping to use this blog quite faithfully so it is 1) an electronic journal for my personal benefit and 2) a way to communicate my adventures to friends and family back home. Throughout my experiences staying with a host family, working for a Spanish company, taking classes at the University, befriending Spaniards, and venturing abroad I am sure I will have some stories to tell. Pre-departure

I am less about 37 hours away from boarding my plane to go from Louisville to Spain.  It seems like I've told 100s of people about my summer plans abroad, researched every detail relentlessly, and been anticipating this trip forever.  Still, with just one day left to prep it seems like my to-do list goes on for miles.  I think I added more stuff to it today than I got accomplished.

The most important thing on my to-do list so far has been spending time with family.  I just got away from Mizzou on Sat. and will be leaving this Wed. (5/18).  I feel bad that I won't see them all summer... but not too bad!  I know they are all very excited for me.
